Perfecting the Interdisciplinary Storm: Immersive Narrative Development Workflows in Context of Meteorology Labs documents a rapid-prototyping pipeline that joins meteorologists, XR developers, and narrative designers to build data-driven VR simulations. Centered on the Hurricane Heroes prototype, the workflow translates real storm-tracking datasets into playable story beats—forecast briefings, evacuation quests, and eye-of-the-storm encounters—while templated design sprints keep scientists and storytellers in sync. Preliminary classroom pilots show higher recall of hurricane-safety procedures and stronger career interest in atmospheric science. The paper appears in Springer’s Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS 2271) as part of the iLRN 2024 revised-selected-papers volume, highlighting interdisciplinary methods for immersive learning at scale
